WATER QUality

Have a passion for water quality and operating a water treatment plant? 

The Water Quality position is responsible for developing, updating, and overseeing the District's water quality treatment and monitoring programs to maintain compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. This position performs skilled work monitoring, testing and adjusting water quality within treatment plant, pump stations, reservoirs, and the water distribution system. This position monitors and adjusts chemical dosages and chemical pumping rates, performs minor and routine maintenance of related equipment and systems, and operates, maintains, and performs routine cleaning of treatment plant and other facilities.  

The ideal candidate will have at least three years progressively responsible experience in technical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and operation of a water utility including experience in water quality functions, testing and sampling, cross connection, and water system flushing. 

Must have Valid WA State Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to the District. Certifications to have or acquire; Water Treatment Plant Operator 1, Water Distribution Manager 1, Cross Connection Specialist, within 1 year of employment.  CDL class A, with Air brakes, within 3 years.

Utility Service Worker

Cross Valley Water District is seeking self-motivated individuals with preferred experienced in water or sewer maintenance and installations. Additional duties include routine maintenance and repairs on district assets, customer service, locates and operates heavy equipment.

  • Hourly Range for 2024:  $37.90 – $50.78
  • Monthly Range for 2024: $6,568.36 - $8,802.24
